Three Q Medical’s recruitment team recently attended the Working Abroad Expo in the RDS, Dublin on Wednesday 5^th October.

The event is the UK and Ireland’s only recruitment exhibition dedicated to the domestic & overseas recruitment of Health Sector related Professionals.

Health boards, government officials, employers, recruiters and service providers from Australia, New Zealand, the UK, Canada, Europe and Ireland descended upon the RDS to meet Nurses, Medical, Allied Health, Dentists and Social Care professionals at all stages of their career.  

Some of the famous exhibiters included Commonwealth Bank, VHI and The Department of Health for Western Australia.

“It was all about the Doctors” said Cora, Three Q’s managing director. She referred to the fact that GPs and Specialists were the professions most in demand at the exhibition. Having spoken with experts from Head Medical, a Scottish specialist medical recruitment agency, Three Q learned that they have noticed a 500% increase in interest from Doctors looking to work overseas. The agency highlighted the fact that the need for experience was the drive for the doctors to go elsewhere as Irish career opportunities in the sector at the moment were limited.
