Three Q Recruitment are currrently searching for a General Manager on behalf of our client, a large health care facility based in the west of Ireland.
This position will have full remit for the services on all sites within hospital – catering, retail and cleaning.
The role involves the management of over 150 personnel & experience in IR is essential. A full clean driver’s licence is required as this role will involve travel.
Your key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Management of the financial and operational performance of the site and ensuring achievement of the financial and operational goals for the business.
- Building and maintaining excellent client relationships by understanding changing requirements over time and responding proactively with solutions that meet the client’s needs.
- Leading, motivating and developing a team of managers to achieve their business goals and drive base business.
- Primary responsibility for retention of clients and business and development of new business.
- Ensuring the highest standards in health and safety, food safety and hygiene are adhered to at all times
Candidate requirements:
- An approved catering qualification at degree level and/or 5 years demonstrated success in a senior operations management role, with experience of a large site.
- Demonstrate people management skills with experience of managing large teams of staff.
- Exhibit strong interpersonal & leadership skills.
- Results orientated with proven ability to drive the business.
- Demonstrate strong financial acumen and ability to manage successfully in P&L environments.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Work to tight deadlines and work well using your own initiative
- Demonstrate a strong track record in the catering, retail or hospitality industries.
- Plan and implement sales activities to achieve continuous growth
- Provide us with a proven track record in operations, human resources and health and safety management
- A high degree of Knowledge of Food Hygiene including HACCP and ISO 22000.
- Excellent IT skills (MS office).
- Previous experience in a Healthcare environment is desirable.
